What Happens When You Die in Mistfall Hunter?

Conclusion

Community-supportedLaunch 1.x · updated 2026-08-03

Death drops raid loot still on your body into a lootable bag. Camp storage stays safe.

You lose / risk
Raid loot still on your character when you die (becomes a bag others can loot).
You keep
Items already extracted into camp storage, plus camp upgrades and banked progress.

Rule of thumb

  1. On body = at risk.
  2. In camp storage = safe.
  3. Listed / sold = converted to Gyldenblood (minus fees).

Your camp upgrades and stashed materials are the progress that survives a bad night. Treat raid kits as consumable until your Warehouse and Auction slots feel comfortable.

This page does not claim that every piece of equipment is always permanently deleted in a way beyond the carried-loot bag model above — only what community and product loop sources support: carried haul drops; banked storage stays.

How to play around death

  1. Enter light → grab priority loot → extract before greed kills you.
  2. Anything still on your character when you die becomes a bag other hunters (and scavengers) can loot.
  3. Deposit materials and keepers into camp storage after a successful extract before the next queue.
  4. Hold construction materials you need for the next camp level — they are harder to replace than common weapons.

After the Auction House

The primary rebuild path is the Auction House card above. Early on, bank materials for camp upgrades before you go heavy into flipping.

Secondary continuations:

Common mistakes

  • Running full bags of upgrade mats into a late extract and dying to a third party.
  • Assuming vendor trash is worthless — AH price bands still move early-game cash.
  • Re-entering immediately with your only good kit after a wipe instead of a cheap recovery loadout.

Risk triage around a raid

Moment Safer decision Why this follows the evidence
Before queue Carry only the kit and materials you are willing to risk Anything still on your character can become a lootable bag on death.
After a successful extract Deposit construction materials and keepers into camp storage Stored items are the safe side of the page's on-body vs camp rule.
Before selling Check whether a material is pinned for the next camp upgrade A listed construction material is no longer available for that upgrade.
After a death Re-enter with a cheap recovery loadout and use the Auction House when useful The page supports rebuilding from banked goods and trading; it does not promise item insurance or recovery.

Boundary of the death rule

This page explains the carried-loot bag model, not a full equipment-loss database. It does not publish drop percentages, insurance rules, or a claim that every equipped item is permanently deleted. If the client distinguishes another class of item, use the live result and report the correction.
